Come out and play in the Indie Knockout Tournament
This weekend – July 24, 25, & 26 – we’ll be at the Masala!Mehndi!Masti! Desi Fest at the CNE in Toronto. While there, we’re hosting two action packed Knockout Tournaments of "Day in the Life" the wacky video game for the upcoming comedy series “How to be Indie”. Signup sheet is now open. Grand Prize each day is a gift bag full of goodies including a portable DVD Player! The first tournament is on Saturday starting at 4pm and will be the Family Game Tournament. To be a part of the Saturday Tournament you must register with a family member to qualify. Here's a chance to challenge a family member to a fast, funny game about your favorite characters. Each game is under 15 minutes. You'll play against your family member while another family plays on the second demo station. The Sunday tournament is for individual players, and also kicks off at 4pm that day. Space is limited and players will be selected on a first come first serve basis. You will be notified via email as to whether or not you have reserved a spot.

Sneak Peak announced for ‘How To Be Indie’ - Coming to YTV in October!
Aug 12, 2009 – the official launch for Heroic Film Company’s new series 'How To Be Indie’ has been announced for October 2nd at 6:30 pm on YTV, however viewers will get an early glimpse at the show the week before. On Sunday September 27th at 8:30 pm, YTV will air an exclusive sneak peak of the show following the season finale of The Next Star. 'How to be Indie' will also be available online on YTV.com starting Monday September 28th. Created by writer Vera Santamaria and Heroic executive producers John May & Suzanne Bolch, 'How to be Indie' is a comedic live-action series told through the eyes of 13-year-old Indie as she endeavours to balance her immigrant family’s South Asian traditions and her Canadian lifestyle. The festival will be held at the Bandshell Park and the Queen Elizabeth Theatre on the Exhibition Place grounds. With over 70 performances and presentations in 3 days The Masala! Mehndi! Masti! South Asian Festival is the largest Desi festival of its kind. With ancient traditions and modern influences, this amazing multi-generational event is a fabulous, colourful and delicious immersion into South Asian culture. Featuring dance, music, theatre, film, literature and poetry, social issues, natural health practices, cuisine, arts & crafts and much more.... it's ALL FREE.
