BABAJI (PRAKASH MEHTA)

Babaji is my Dad's dad. He smells like tiger balm (cures bad backs, bad hair and bad luck) and roses (he keeps his clothes in a huge Rosewood chest he brought from India). Babaji is a little hard of hearing - when he wants to be. Like, he never misses Mum calling him to dinner, but when Dad wants to change the channel from Badhai Ho!? Deaf as a post. Really Babaji pretty much gets away with murder on a regular basis, but we let him because he's really cute and wrinkly, like a human Shar Pei. But maybe the thing that Babaji does best is just being home for you. Like when you've had a day where everybody's kicked you when you were down, you come home and there's Babaji saying he loves you better than anyone else in the world.
